Dois-je opter pour un point de vue manichéen en attaquant le système britannique ou dois-je faire un article pesant le pour et le contre.
Pour l'instant j'ai réalisé ceci :
In the fight against crime, police forces and governments are increasingly using security cameras in public places. Some people are opposed to this, saying that it invades our privacy.
I have mixed feelings. I don't like the idea of being watched but I know that these things have helped solve crimes and hopefully deter some criminals. I'm not sure that the later is true, they clever criminals just find ways to avoid being caught on camera and others just choose to carry out their crimes in places without cameras.
In conclusion, although there are definite advantages to using surveillance devices such as cameras, we need to balance the need for security with respect for the individual’s privacy and freedom. If we do not trust the members of society, a situation like George Orwell’s “1984″ could be the result.
