Langues vivantes Correction anglais

Bonjour a tous.

Voila j'ai fais ce petit exercice d'anglais et j'aimerais bien que quelqu'un me le corrige s'il vous plait.
Merci:

Complete using the right tense( Simple past or present perfect):

The problem of pollution EXISTED for many years in our area. It approximately STARTED in the sixties. Since then, people HAS TAKEN a lot of measures but the results have been insufficient. In 1975, when the explosion HAPPENED in the factory, everybody AGREED that something HAS TO be done. I think that we SAW too many catastrophes: the government HASN'T PROMOTE enough protection over the past years. So far, we can consider that the authorities HASN'T DONE anything really serious about the problems. They made too many promises in the past, now they must act!

À très bientôt.

The problem of pollution EXISTED for many years in our area.

dès que tu lis for ou since qqpart, cela signifie que ton action a commencé dna sle passé et est toujours vraie au moment de la phrase, donc has existed

It approximately STARTED in the sixties. Since then, people HAS TAKEN a lot of measures but the results have been insufficient. In 1975, when the explosion HAPPENED in the factory, everybody AGREED that something HAS TO be done.

had to be done: c'est à ce moment-là (preterit des autres verbes) que les choses devaient se faire

I think that we SAW too many catastrophes: the government HASN'T PROMOTE enough protection over the past years. So far, we can consider that the authorities HASN'T DONE anything really serious about the problems.

have not done
mais la phrase elle-même est très étrange
(Hardly nothing serious has been achieved by the government)

They made too many promises in the past, now they must act!

Spears a écrit :

1. It approximately STARTED in the sixties.
2. I think that we SAW too many catastrophes:
3. the government HASN'T PROMOTE enough protection over the past years.

1. L'adverbe qualifie "in the sixties", non pas "started". Sa position naturelle serait après le verbe.
2. Voir la première remarque de Tyagin.
3. Participle passé!
Il me semble qu'il faudra ajouter "few" entre "past" et "years".
"Over the years" = longtemps ou une période précisée; "over the past few years" = une période dont on souvient facilement, dirais-je.
